Group Therapy
Men’s Group
It's a common stereotype, but one with a grain of truth: men often struggle to forge deep connections with others. Sure, we may have our drinking buddies or colleagues, and if we're fortunate, a loving family. Yet, beneath the surface, the loneliness runs deeper.
Rooted in our upbringing, cultural norms, and perhaps even evolutionary tendencies, men tend to lead solitary lives compared to women. This social isolation is believed to be one factor contributing to the shorter lifespans of men compared to women. That's where this men's support group comes in.
This group is a safe haven, a "tribe," where we can come together to address issues of vulnerability, potency, and mental health. Through readings, discussions, mutual support, and interpersonal exploration, we confront what holds us back from connecting – with others and with ourselves. With mindfulness and compassion as our guides, we strive to cultivate a community that enriches our lives and alleviates the burden of isolation.
